Por que ustedes lo pidieron (en serio, hago encuestas sobre qué quieren que escriba en el blog) en facebook (pueden seguirme aquí) hoy les traigo la entrada del Nintendo x Doritos Gaming Party al que pude asistir en mi viaje a CDMX (entrada pronto).
Because you asked for it (really, I do polls on what you want me to write about here) on facebook (you can follow me here) today I am posting the Nintendo x Doritos Gaming Party I had the chance to go while I was on a trip in México City (post coming soon).
Era un viernes y yo me estaba quedando en casa de Kyu, quien un par de días antes por medio de facebook había ganado unas entradas a la fiesta. Estuvimos un largo rato esperando afuera del establecimiento, ARKEID. Que era algo que yo jamás había visto aquí en Baja California y creo que tampoco en California, USA. El lugar era un bar tal cual pero con maquinitas de Arcade, aunque para la ocasión habían guardado todo y colocado demos para jugar en distintas consolas de Nintendo.
It was Friday and I was crashing on Kyu's couch, who had happened to score some invites to the party a few days before. We arrived at the venue and waited a loooooong time outside ARKEID. The place was something I had never seen before, not in BC or in Cali, so I was very impressed. It was basically a bar with arcade machines, which had been stored for the party since we were all supposed to be playing with Nintendo products.
Tuvimos tragos gratis, una botana muy buena y Doritos ilimitados.
We got free drinks, a snack tray and unlimited Doritos xD

Jugamos un rato Pokemon Snap, pero nos lo quitaron para poner Smash
We played Pokemon Snap a while, but where shoved aside because we were supposed to play Smash.
Los conductores organizaron dinámicas y rifas.
The even hosts organized activities and raffles.
Hubo torneos estuvieron muy intensos.
The tournaments were nerve-racking.
La ùnica cosa que me molestò un poco es que por ser de las pocas chicas que estabamos en el evento jugando muchos fotògrafos se la pasaron tomandonos fotos x__x
Something a bit odd and that I hated was the fact that photographers snapped too many pics of us just for the fact that we were some of the very few girls there.
En general la pasamos bastante bien y agradezco mucho que Kyu haya decidido llevarme como su acompañante. Me gustarìa que aquì en mi ciudad se hicieran màs eventos de ese tipo :D Espero en un futuro se de la oportunidad de ir a otros eventos asì o abran bares de ese tipo en mi ciudad.
It was a pretty cool experience and I had a lot of fun. I need to thank Kyu for taking me as her date. I just hope we had that type of events in my city. Maybe one day in the future I get the chance to attend another one like that or even get that type of bar to open in my city.
